This Bike Has Shoes Instead of Wheels

The Shoe Bike, by Continental Tires

If one pedal stroke yields six steps, will your Fitbit explode after 20 minutes of pedaling? If you leave the bike-to-run transition while still biking but technically connecting your shoes with the ground, will you get kicked out of a duathlon?

These are the questions that a hilarious video from Continental Tires left us pondering, thanks to a zany invention the company made in partnership with Adidas.

The bikes seem to pedal pretty darn well, considering, and bonus: There’s minimal chance of flatting (though you could lose a shoe). No comment about how the tread was selected, but it does appear that the different bikes ridden in the video feature variations that span from road to trail functionalities.
