THEIR lines of work couldn’t be more different, but supermodel Cindy Crawford and human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin are like two peas in a pod, according to Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber.
“They are very compatible: both strong, intelligent, committed women,” revealed Gerber, who is also the best friend and business partner of Alamuddin’s husband George Clooney (the pair run a tequila company, Casamigos, together). As best man at the Oscar-nominated actor’s wedding earlier this year, he was also privy to what went on away from the hungry eyes of the world’s media.

“It was a big party for three days straight,” he tole the Evening Standard of the wedding. “We flew 100 cases of tequila in and we drank all of it!”
But post the big day, Gerber has nothing but praise for the newlyweds and how they handle being in the spotlight.

“George and Amal knew what they were getting into,” he said. “Such a big event in George’s life is always going to get a lot of attention. You try to not let it affect your life as much as you can control it. But do you go out as much to public events? No, you don’t. You try to stay a little bit low-key until it blows over. But they are dealing with it brilliantly.”
