4 sh. This is what I would call a slow burn not in a sexual way but a suspenseful way A good romantic suspense should keep you waiting for the next shoe to drop while creating some sexual angst with the characters Sandra Brown definitely did that in this bookThe first half of this book is almost painstakingly slow however there is just enough mystery to keep the reader looking forward to what will happen next Once this book hit about the halfway mark things took off like a rocket It goes from a slow burn to a high speed chaseI enjoyed this story and the characters The combination of mystery and romantic suspense kept me turning the pages I was in the book right along with the characters There were many times I thought my heart would pound right out of my chest And I wanted a happily ever after for all of those who deserved itOverall this book is a good read Romantic suspense lovers will thoroughly enjoy this read Those that love a high stakes mystery with a little romance will also enjoy this book

I love Sandra Brown novels. She is a very talented author who can craft stories I remember many years later ( Rainwater). But this just didn't work for me.

I liked the beginning with the crusty pilot handling extre

You can always count on Brown to drive the plot with people you care about and their relationship to one another. Holds true in this one yet again.
There’s complexity to the plot but it doesn’t overwhelm the primary aspect of the tale. Rye isn’t as wrecked as some she’s written about but he definitely struggles with the past. Br

I have read every book Sandra Brown has written (some than one time!). This one was a disappointment. There were too many implausible events and I did not feel the steam between the characters that usually exists in her stories. Next time I'll re read Envy or The Crush but never this one.

Finally gave up after over 100 pages. Have read all of her books & this one seems to be written by someone else. Too many nonessential characters, way too much detail & boring. Will be very careful on my next purchase of her books.

Really ridiculous story with a long drawn out tale that seemed to repeat itself over and over. I’ll take a pass on her next novel

I have read all Sandra Browns books and consider her to be a brilliant authour certainly one of my favourites. However she seems to be running out of ideas, in particular her last 3 thrillers. With this latest offering tailspin. we have the
