    I'd really give this a four and a half stars It's not often you read a book that makes you feel bad for the tumor that's killing the protagonist but Mr McGowan has done just that The symbiotic relationship between the boy and his tumor works because McGowan gives 'Jack' a real personality smart supportive vulnerable and yes reasonable He the tumor knows what he is He also knows the effect he has on the boy He
