H this guide identify over thirty common and easily recognized edible mushroomsand stay away from their not so edible look alikes Discover boletes chanterelles matsutake shaggy mane cauliflow. its nice to have the major shrroms all on one waterproof pullout sheet but this isn t a definitive guide for ID ing them unless you are well educated already it would be great to include a bit of the natural history of the mushroom as well the images are adeuate but far from stellar and only show one perspective from each and not closeups of gills etc Not that any other guide does do that dang it i should give it five but that would go to all the rain promises and

Don't waste your money. It's a brochure. Sure it's pretty. It only has a few mushrooms illustrations, but only the one that are well known already. It has no variations of images or information. Hell I've been able to learn from a few hours on Google then this book provided. This book is for someone that's never seem a m

I really like this guide, it is pretty easy to use. While it is not as extensive as some of the books, it is a nice snapshot of some of the edible mushros around here. I would never use this as my only source if

Save your money, this pamphlet is dangerous. Vary vague and loose in identity of the fungi unless you're a mycologist and looking for what an area may have already knowing the species of mushroom your after. Oft

It is not a book, it's a pamphlet. A cheaply laminated pamphlet. If not for the cost of $8 I'd be okay with it. $2 $3 would have been acceptable.

It's a good quick reference guide when you need that confirmation of a species you're already knowledgable about. I found it helpful. However, even though it is laminated, do your best to keep it dry as it still soaks up water, mine is falling apart after one outing. Just something to keep in mind.
