The one person who is most in the spotlight during a wedding is the bride. It is very likely that she is the most stressed too. Right from getting dressed up in the wedding trousseau, to having her makeup done, getting dolled up with jewellery and accessories, all this along with managing a thousand other things, mingling with guests and actually getting married, there is no doubt brides are under tremendous stress. Among the many things, brides are really concerned about on their wedding day is their makeup. To help you look your best during the D-day we got Satishh Saraf of Panache Salon and Academy to talk about the latest trends in Indian Bridal makeup. Here is what he has to say:
1. Natural look- A lot of brides are surprisingly opting for a natural look. It’s a good idea to let your natural beauty come out with naturally glowing skin, lightly flushed cheeks and lightly coloured lips bringing out the natural colours with soft pinks and corals that work well with the Indian skin tone. The key is to make sure your skin is clean, exfoliated and well moisturized. A light foundation or tinted moisturizer will hide any blemishes or trouble spots, while a light dusting of blush applied at the apples of your cheeks will give you a healthy rosy flush. Here are some other bridal makeup tricks you can try.
2. Coloured smokey glitter eyes- Smokey eyes will never fail to impress. But this year we are ditching the blacks and opting for candid colours like metallic greens, gold and pinks. Here is a little tip; throw in some glitter or jewel tones to make a bolder statement. Don’t forget to get those fake eyelashes out and make them long and doll-like.
3. HD (high definition) makeup – HD makeup is getting popular. This makeup is a high quality makeup that appears flawless and natural through a high-definition camera. Airbrush makeup has become more popular with the advent of high definition cameras and televisions. These give a three-dimensional look and go very well with the dazzling jewellery that Indian brides wear. They sit well on the skin and give a radiant finish. Mineral blushes are very popular and give a hot glam look. Traditional powder or liquid-based makeup can settle and appear in pores and wrinkles and be visible on wedding films. Here are some skin care mistakes every bride-to-be should avoid.
