Lexington County deputies say the president of the Parent Teacher Organization at Saxe Gotha Elementary used money from the organization for her personal use, including paying bills.

Patricia Brock King, 31, is charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent involving more than $10,000.

Officers say as president of the school’s PTO, King was in charge of managing the account and fundraising funds. Between March 2014 and February 2015, investigators say King made unauthorized purchases from the PTO account for her personal expenses totaling $10,143. That figure includes 15 cash withdrawals from the PTO’s bank account and eight payments for King’s personal utility bills, officers say.

According to deputies, she also used the funds to buy gas and to purchase clothing and merchandise from department stores.

King is free on a personal recognizance bond.
