How to layer your way from February to June

If you’re anything like us then this tricky period other countries called ‘spring’ is a bit of a dressing minefield. Sometimes the weather is what us Brits would describe as warm (about 12 degrees to the rest of the world) and sometimes it’s minus 2.

The solution? Dress for both eventualities.

Learning how to properly layer could be the answer to your hot day/cold day woes and will be the key to getting you all the way from Feb to June in serious style.

Try remixing your fave statement polo under a roomy white shirt and you’ll discover a whole new look. For warmer days you can whip off either the shirt or the jumper, depending on your mood, and when it’s cooler simply add socks to your sandals and you’ll be cosy from top to toe.

Wear a statement T-shirt underneath your statement sweater and no matter what level of heat you’re feeling, you are always making a statement. See what we did there?

Wear the sweater, tee, skirt and trainers on milder days, or add the fun beanie, some tights and faux fur coat when it’s more crisp.

How to layer: kimono jacket

A jacket with wider sleeves like this super cool denim number is the perfect choice for layering over chunkier knits. If you’re going for a bare leg, add a scarf for the warmth factor and if you’re still chilly you can even layer a vest under your roll neck.
